Gladys (Damm) DeCoteau, 91, a long time resident of Culbertson passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson. She was born on a farm north of Brockton, MT on March 14, 1927 to Jacob and Clara Damm.

Gladys was raised and educated North of Culbertson where her father farmed. On September 21, 1945, Gladys married the love of her life, Louie J. DeCoteau in Sidney, MT. From this union 4 children were born. Gladys had many interests and hobbies which included traveling with her husband, visiting family and friends, dancing to country music, singing, especially yodeling, fishing, camping, agate picking and playing bingo. She was an excellent bread maker and member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Gladys life revolved around her children. She loved and treasured each of them. Our loving and caring mother will be missed by all.

Gladys is survived by her children, Louie (Jeannie) DeCoteau of Stoney Point, NC, Robert DeCoteau of Culbertson, Joyce Cotter of Laurel, Jo Ann (Gene) Fetzer of Garrison; two sisters, Donna (Russ) Cone of Minnesota and Hazel Diver of Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Lillian Cornilison of Terry; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Preceding Gladys in death are her parents; her husband Louie who passed away February 15, 1992; two brothers, Earl and Verl Damm and by her two sisters, Helen Lambert and Betty Moore. “Rest mom, until we see you again.
