Delores M. Hammer-Nordhagen, 85, of Williston, ND passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Bethel Lutheran Nursing & Rehabilitation Home in Williston, ND.

Delores was born April 4, 1939 in Stanley, ND to Gordon and Elizabeth (Godfread) Alvstad. She went to school in Florence, MT until her junior year when her family relocated to Westby, MT where she graduated from High School.

She met Clifford Hammer and the couple were married on June 22, 1958. To this union four children were born, Douglas, Pamela, Sharri and Jacalyn. Clifford and Delores spent 39 years together before Clifford passed away.

Delores then met Thomas Nordhagen and they were married on April 4, 2001. She welcomed 4 step-children into their family, Arlen, Nancy, Merilee and Naomi. Tom and Delores were married 14 years before Thomas passed away.

Her passions in life were gardening, baking and spending time with family and friends. But her best job yet, was being a grandma and great-grandma.

Delores is survived by her daughters, Pam Cote, Sharri (John) McNulty, Jacalyn (Ed) Conlin; step-children, Arlen (Wendy) Nordhagen, Nancy (Mike) Helenbolt, Merilee (Robert) Fowler, Naomi (Dave) Cramer; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Alvstad; husbands, Clifford Hammer and Thomas Nordhagen; son, Douglas Hammer; brother, Gary Alvstad; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Marie Hammer; son-in-law, Rob Cote.
