Every time we visited Mabel we had such a good visit. She was always so interested in everything. She was a good neighbor, friend, and loyal follower of everything that went on in Grenora and in learning all about the ladies of the Post 116 Auxiliary. We often went away with a little gift of something she had crafted. We will miss her and do extend our sympathy to her whole extended family.

I remember some great visits with Mabel and Norris when they would drive out to the farm to visit my parents, Dennis and Alice. They always drove slower on the country roads so their Chevy pickup would never get too dusty. I was blessed to receive one of her crocheted blankets as a graduation gift. Mabel made sure to use the school colors of Dickinson State University. It’s definitely a treasured gift as I know she made it with love.
