It saddens me to hear of your passing, but in reality, it brightens my day knowing you are in a place where the sun shines every day now! I still remember five years ago at our 40-year Class reunion as it was a surprise to me when you showed up in that sports car. It was very nice to see you there and then much like when you were at our 10-year Class reunion too. I remember fondly the days in High School English class where you taught us to speak and write well -- oh, and who could forget the typing class too. God Bless and Godspeed Amy.

Susan, Barb, and Bill and your families you have my sympathy in the loss of your mom. I have many great memories of your mother and your family from my young years! It was so fun to get a card from her several years ago after I had visited with Bill at a tech conference. She lived a long life and touched so many people. Just know I am thinking of all of you at this time.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Amy was truly one of a kind. I have so so many memories of your mom. She and my mom spent hours chatting at our kitchen table over coffee, the picnics on our patio on July 4th, English class, the many plays! A life well lived and a life well loved! Godspeed, Amy. As our mom, Jean’s childhood and lifelong friend, it was wonderful to hear some of the expressions Mom and Amy shared. Now we know, for example, the evolution of the “You done good award,” and several others.

As a former English teacher, (Mom was too), I consulted with Amy about my difficulty conjugating the words lay and lie. “Oh that’s easy,” she said, and she proceeded to explain it to me. I retained it for a few moments after our conversation. But I crawled back several weeks later and told her I needed another lesson. She seemed astonished that the lesson had not stuck. “It’s easy! she said. Then she explained it again. Now I know that had I been in the same room with her, rather than on the phone, I likely would have landed one of her cheek kisses.
The Arizona Lee’s love and we will miss your stories. Love and blessings to the family and to all who loved our Amazing Amy!
