So many fond childhood memories come to mind when I think of Eileen on the Skaar farm. My thoughts are with all of the family members who cherished her loving spirit.

My absolute fondest memories of grade school, high school and college were made with Eileen! She was the dearest of friends. It’s so true that she always had a positive attitude and joyful outlook. I’m sad that our lives took us in different directions, but the time we spent together will always have a place in my heart. Sincere condolences to Eileen’s family.

Eileen and I were very close in our youth. We were in the same grade, and my dad brought us to visit the farm as often as possible. We didn’t see much of each other as we grew up and started our independent lives and families, so I’m thankful I was able to visit her in 2022, and twice in 2023. Her courage in enduring the ravages of her illness is inspirational, and should serve as an example to all.
