To John, Bryan, and extended family. I was so sad to hear that Anita has passed away. I have been thinking about her a lot these past weeks knowing that she had been moved to rehab after being in the hospital. I will always treasure my memories of her; she was a very special lady who handled her physical issues with grace and dignity. I have no doubt that she and her parents are having a grand reunion in heaven with all of them cured of their earthly ailments.

John, Bryan, family and friends.

Anita, was someone I truly adored, I never had a doubt our meeting one another was divinely appointed. Anita was more than a dear friend — she was a safe place, a gentle listener, and a spiritual mentor who spoke truth with love. She was the first to teach me of the biblical truth that I could have assurance in God’s gift of salvation, which took many years to grasp that Gods gift of salvation truly was a gift, not earned by anything I might try to do to earn it. Hearing those words and eventually believing those words changed my life.

Her faith was unwavering, her wisdom deep, and her presence a gift.

Matthew 5:13-16, describes Christians as the "salt of the earth" and the "light of the world". This is not a command to become salt and light, but rather a declaration of what they already are in Christ. Jesus
This metaphor is a perfect illustration of how Anita impacted me personally and the world around her. I will miss her deeply but I know one day we will meet again with BIG HUGS.

Dear John and Bryan,

Anita was the best bible study teacher I ever had. I was part of a large group that flocked to your home for her guidance and faith. She was always so brave and well informed. May Our Lord Walk with you in the days ahead.

Blessings,
Sharon Nelson
