Wayne was one of the best instructors of all time! I learned so much from him over my college years and loved running into him from time to time.
He helped me survive Microeconomics!! Rest in peace. Prayers for all the family, friends and past students.

We have been friends with Wayne and Sharon for more than 50 years. Wayne was to me the older brother I never had. We shared many good times together as our children were growing up and well beyond that time. We will definitely miss Wayne and will be praying for Wayne, Sharon, Heather and Justin and their families.

Our neighborhood won’t be the same without Wayne. For so many years, he showed quiet kindness, generosity, and grace. We’ll always remember his gentle spirit and the many ways he made this community a better place. RIP my North Dakota Friend.

I enjoyed Wayne as an instructor at UND-W. He had a way of becoming a friend while teaching. Later I enjoyed visiting when we would meet up. One of the good guys! RIP Wayne,

Wayne always had a smile and great conversation. It was always fun to catch up and it started with a big hug. He loved catching up with those of us from the neighborhood that grew up with Heather and Justin. He will be the BEST guardian angel to his family. Sending love to you all. ??

Sorry to hear of the passing of Wayne. I first met Wayne at UND-Williston. He was teaching Ag classes and I was in the PTA program (and eventually taught in the program making me a co-worker). Gatherings on campus would be entertaining with Wayne, Roger Halverson, Arne Lunzman, Bob Bell, Gerald Basol. I graduated from high school with Heather. Justin was a student of mine in the PTA program. Wayne was smart, articulate, quiet, and well respected. He made my first years teaching a great experience.

Wayne was an innovator and a forward thinker. I interacted with him many times during the early portion of my career working with ranchers and cattle producers. He had tremendous insight and was a skilled educator.
