So sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. It was always a pleasure to see Gene at SVE. He never forgot a name, was always so pleasant and interested, played pickleball so well, and was such an inspiration! Our heart felt condolences.

So sorry that Gene has passed. One of my lifetime best of friends. Elaine and Gene were best of friends to many I am sure. Anita and I were very fortunate to have you as friends. We learned to fly together, you were sponsors for baptism of our Nancy and were special friends in many ways. Rest in peace dear friend.

Dear Elaine and all,

Gene, a friend a mentor, a man easy to admire and love, who touched my heart in grand ways and whom I have admired and have loved.

Gene your life, your memory is of a life lived well, a farmer, military medic, a warrior, family provider, pilot, rancher, but most vital and life changing - son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. It was family, always at the heart of your everyday your very existence.

One can only be profoundly grateful to our God who offered such a gift as you to three generations. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of those so profoundly blessed by and through you.

God bless your memory
With love,
Warren and Maureen

Elaine, even though I’m not an Our Saviors member now, I remember our choir times a few years ago, always a joy when you and Gene were there too! I’m sorry to miss Gene’s memorial, I’ll be there in spirit! Karen Rolph

Gene was an impressive man. He wore many hats throughout his life, but the one that he wore most proudly was that of husband and father. He loved Elaine dearly, and together they raised their children to be strong, educated, kind, and self sufficient. Gene and Elaine were always welcoming and eager for good conversation. The twinkle in his eyes will be a lasting memory for me. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

GBL!
