Souveng Khamleu, 36, of Williston, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at C.H.I. St. Alexius Mercy Medical Center in Williston.
Souveng Khamleu, son of Outh and Maikhampha Khamleu, was born on June 15, 1982. He is survived by his mom and dad, wife, three beautiful children, two brothers and, two sisters. Once a long time resident of Anchorage, Alaska, he moved to Williston, North Dakota where he was able to thrive and provide for his family as an Operations Manager at Oil States. His passion was his family. The love he had for them was unconditional. He was a devoted father, husband, son, and brother. His enthusiasm for adventure manifested in the many road trips, fishing dates, and hula hoop competitions that he would perform with his family. He was dedicated to teaching his children good values and modeled that by working hard and never taking life for granted; words he often reminded his children to live by. Those who came to know him would describe him as genuine, sentimental, funny, and full of life. He was a visionary and always optimistic. His children would call him clever, brave, wise, happy-go-lucky, a real go-getter, and a prankster. His siblings knew him as a self-made jack of all trades who was resilient, persistent, and masterful at creating opportunities. His family and friends will always remember him as an exclusive, limited edition, bonified hu$tler. The loss of his bright light in this world is felt by many, but it will not be in vain. The life and legacy of Souveng Khamleu will continue on through his wife, parents, siblings and most of all his children.
