Delores Margaret Weyrauch
April 4, 1930 - March 26, 2019

Place of Birth: Fargo, ND
Residence: Ray, ND, more recently of Tioga, ND
Age: 88

Delores Delaney was born April 4, 1930 in Fargo, ND to Wilfred Delaney and Ruby Courtney Delaney. She was raised on a farm in Pherrin Township north of Williston and attended country school through the 8th grade. Her freshman year she attended Williston High School and sophomore year Epping High School. In 1946 she went to live with her Aunt Florence Delaney in Denver, Colorado and in 1948 graduated from Denver’s East High School. She was accepted into the nursing program at Children’s Hospital in Denver, but returned to North Dakota to attend a friend’s wedding first. While there, she met the love of her life, Duard Weyrauch. She worked as a receptionist in a doctor’s office and as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell before marrying Duard on August 27, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williston, ND. Delores and Duard moved to Everett, Washington in 1950 for a couple years and then returned to North Dakota and made their home in Ray for the next 62 years, except for a 9 year period beginning in 1984 when they lived in an apartment in Williston to be closer to Duard’s job.

Delores belonged to St. Michael’s Catholic Church Altar Society and took part in many activities at the church over the years. They raised their 7 children in a very busy neighborhood of 31 kids and was always heard saying, “there was never a dull moment”.

Delores did a lot of baking over the years and many cookies were handed out to all the kids. After the kids were grown Delores took many trips with Duard on the semi he drove hauling grain out and lumber back from places in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Minnesota, Wyoming and South Dakota.

In 2014, after Duard passed away, Delores moved into an independent living apartment in Tioga. She was able to go on an Alaskan cruise with her family and also to Las Vegas where she made many memories. She was the best mom, grandma and great-grandma and loved spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her wonderful, infectious laugh.

Delores is survived by her six children, Diane Stuver, of Broadus, MT; Katie (Ron) Qualley, Tom (Denise) Weyrauch, Ginny (Darrell) Watterson, all of Ray; Mary Ann (Mike) Holm of Tioga; and Dennis Weyrauch of Ray; 18 grandchildren; Bill Stuver, Broadus, MT; Marianne (Dan) Ries, Shepherd MT; Deanna (Derek) Bergum, and Laura (Pete) Sanderson of Billings, MT; Cheryl (Kyle) Swanson, Longmont, CO; Erica Qualley and fiance’ Jeramie Schall of Dacono, CO; Douglas (Katie) Weyrauch, Worthington, OH; Roxanne (Jeremy) Meinert, and Tyler Weyrauch, Minot; Joe Sevilla, Ray; Julie (Eric) Freeman, White Bluff, TN; Jessi (Micah) Emmons, Helena, MT; Janelle (Randy) Habeck, Hillsboro, ND; Andrea (Jory) Keever, Tioga; Kristy (Mario) Cristaldo, Topeka, KS; Deland (Stephanie) Weyrauch, New Haven, CT; Danielle Weyrauch, Ray and Gabrielle Weyrauch, Minot; 25 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce DeBellis of Springfield, OR.

To the wonderful Weyrauch family who lived across the street from us --the Olson's -- many years ago. You are loved and your Mom will be missed. I will forever remember your beautiful mother. I remember Delores for her smiles, her laughter, her endless supply of cookies --- my favorite the "haystack cookies". She had the patience of a saint as we ran threw the house, slid down the house stairs, or listened to us screaming "anti-i-over" while tossing the ball over Duard's garage. God's peace to Diane, Katie, Tom, my dear friend Ginny, Maryann, & Dennis. My parents --Chuck & Shirley, my brother Dean and myself were blessed to have shared many beautiful memories living next to all of you.

Blessings to the family during this difficult time. I have so many great memories of the time spent at your house in Ray. From standing over the furnace grate letting our nightgowns billow out when the heat kicked on to trying to figure out how to straighten Diane's hair (we even tried to iron it!). Your Mom had the patience of a saint and her laugh was contagious. May your many wonderful memories sustain you. Lovingly - Marie Weyrauch Challes

I gave wonderful memories of Delores as our neighbor and one of my Mom's dearest friends.
I enjoyed visiting with her long after I left Ray, as we would always catch up on on all our family's latest news and happenings.
She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.
