Jesse Colter Burgon
March 5, 1982 - January 19, 2020

Place of Birth: Vernal, Utah
Residence: Williston, North Dakota
Age: 37

Jesse Colter Burgon was born March 6, 1982 to Paul and LaDell (Byington) Burgon, in Vernal, Utah.

He was raised and educated in Pleasant Grove Utah and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School with the class of 2000. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Barcelona, Spain.

On June 25, 2004 he married Sallie Ann Behm in the Salt Lake Temple. They have five children, Azzlyn (13), Caelyn (13), Axil (11), Colter (8) and Porter (6).

They have spent the last 6 years in Williston, North Dakota, where Jesse worked for NOV as a lead engineer and district manager. He has been serving as a counselor in the bishopric in the Williston 2nd Ward. He was active in his community whether it was being involved with community sports, fostering children, the boy scouts or simply being a friend to everyone he came in contact with.

We will miss Jesse’s tenderness, beautiful smile, and his enthusiasm and love for family. He loved his God, Family and Country.

“We can’t fully appreciate joyful reunions later without tearful separations now.
The only way to take sorrow out of death is to take love out of life.” President Russel M. Nelson

Until that joyful reunion, we will love and miss you fiercely!

My deepest sympathies to you all. My heart breaks knowing the pain you must be feeling, but please remember that you are wrapped in the arms of God and He is holding fast as you go through this difficult time. I remember the twins from their days at Round Prairie and see them at MR on occasion. You will be in my prayers.

To Sallie, Azzlyn, Caelyn, Axil, Colter & Porter

Radek and I wish to send our sincerest condolences at this sad time.
Jesse and Sallie you opened your home to our daughter Eliska and provided her with family in the USA while she studies locally. She has been embraced as part of your family even included in your son‘s baptism celebrations.
It is with great sadness that we learn of Jesse’s passing on Sunday. I understood very quickly how beautiful person Jesse was. I hoped we meet in May when we come.
We send our love to support and strengthen you all in your time of loss.
With great sympathy, Radek, Alzbeta, Eliska and Julie.

Burgon Family -- We want you to know that our family loves your family. We knew Jesse was a kindred spirit the first time we heard him talk about "Lord of the Rings" from the pulpit. What a great example he was of selfless service and kindness. We keep you in our prayers and our hearts.

Jesse was very kind to me when I was traveling for business in Williston. He even joked with me about the goat milk soap that his family makes and my extended family makes also. He was a great professional and person, and I am sorry for your loss.

Jesse was the guy in high school and junior who you just felt good being around. He had this positivity that seemed to constantly orbit around him and you couldn't help but feel it when you were near. I will always be grateful for the kindnesses he showed me. My heart goes out to his beautiful family.
