Claudia Lindberg, 77 of Stanley, ND, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2020 with her family by her side, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was at the home of her daughter, Allison, son-in-law, Chris and grandchildren, Lindsey and Brandon during the last days of her life.

Claudia was born in Kenmare, North Dakota, the youngest daughter of Howard and Louise Corey. She was raised and educated in Bowbells, North Dakota where she graduated from high school. She was employed at the dental office of Dr. Kalusky in Bowbells for a year.

Claudia was united in marriage to Dennis Lindberg on August 20th, 1961 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bowbells. They were blessed with one daughter, Allison Kay. Claudia, Dennis and Allison made their home in Stanley where Dennis taught school. While in Stanley, Claudia was employed with the Duane Lindberg Insurance office. In 1974, they built a farm in Vanville Township, where they lived currently. She was employed at the Kenmare hospital for 12 years, where she retired. Claudia was an officer on the Vanville Township Board for many years, a past member of the American Lutheran Church in Stanley and a present member of Holy Cross Lutheran and WELCA chapter in Powers Lake.

Claudia was a unique, sincere and one-of-a-kind wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Her loving and kind ways always allowed her to make lasting ties to those around her. Family was always very important to Claudia, she especially loved and cherished her grandchildren, Lindsey and Brandon. She enjoyed visiting Allison, Chris, Lindsey and Brandon in Arizona every December and January for the past 21 years. She spent time being a housewife and enjoying gardening and canning. She also enjoyed reading scripture verses and thoughts from her scripture books. Claudia had a love for outdoors, especially birds. She had bird houses indoors and out and loved to watch the deer and moose that walked through the yard. Claudia loved music and enjoyed listening and dancing to her son-In-law, Chris’ band, Red Horizon. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family.

Claudia is survived by her husband, Dennis; her daughter, Allison (Chris) and their children, Lindsey and Brandon; sister-in-law, Lois Larsen and family; nieces, Sally Verstraete and family; Janice Rosanski and family; Roxy Corey and family; nephews, Ron Corey and family; Joe Jones and Leland Smith and many cousins.

Condolences to Dennis and family. We started our careers together in Stanley....a joy to work with my colleague Dennis. Claudia cared for our girls when Gloria attended college in the summer....she was a wonderful care giver. We were blessed to have such good people in our lives.....and in a great community as well.
