June 5, 1947 - May 15, 2021

Place of Birth: Williston, ND
Residence: Watford City, ND

Maureen was born to Arthur and Selma Jore June 5, 1947 in Williston, ND. She was raised on a ranch south of Watford City, ND. She loved life on the ranch, the animals, and helping with her chores. She was an avid horseback rider and animal lover, often telling us stories about her horse Chuckaluk who played hide and seek, the springer spaniel who saved their lives by alerting the family to a house fire, and the Thanksgiving turkey she made into a pet.
Maureen excelled in school. She was a member of the debate team and participated in theater and choir.
She married her high school sweetheart, Curtis Frazee in 1968, at the First Lutheran Church in Watford City, ND.
Maureen worked as a juvenile counselor in Minneapolis, and was a CNA for many years.
She was Gramma Renee and Nenee to many children who remember fishing and camping and many hours of babysitting, playing card games, making forts out of sheets, and making cowboy soup in the house. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Maureen was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Watford City. She enjoyed art, painting and drawing, and crocheting.

My cousin Renee.....I have fond memories of her .....especially one time when I stayed in Watford with Uncle Art.....she was hearing noises in the house she was renting and was quite distraught so I volunteered to sit up all night with her....drinking pop and coffee and playing cards and visiting..... next thing we knew it was morning..... no sleep was had but we had a great visit and no unwanted noises from any ghosts. Renee was always so much fun and will be missed by so many. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Love and prayers to Jenny and Cindy, their families and to Sharon and Ron....you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have so many fond memories of Renee and especially when she lived next door to us when I was in high school. I spent more time at her house than I did at home I think. I always enjoyed visiting with her over the years. She was a special person and will be missed. Hugs to you all!!

I am so sorry to hear of Maureen’s passing. I last saw her at my mom’s funeral with Olga, my aunt, and had a brief chat. I also enjoyed working with Selma at the ASCS office summers when I was in college. My thoughts are with you.
Peace.

So sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. She was a very kind and caring person. She was so kind and helpful to my parents when my dad was in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home and a great help to Olga in her later years.

Renee was loved by all of us. Even though years passed between the times we saw each other, it was as if we'd just had coffee a few days (not years) before. Cherish your memories and keep her with you by sharing them.

Renee was always fun.
I Remember when Curt worked at swimming pool in watford below my grammas house when I was in Jr. High, and they had keys to go and play marco polo (?) all night long.,
i remember when they lived in Minnesota and would make kids go swimming to burrn off energy, (pool reference again) which energy always abounded in that family - (could have been an excuse to have a break.... hahaha Cindy and Jenn)
Always the jokester, she and her cousin Steve ripped off all the labels of canned goods at Henry's so he created a dish called.... surprise dinner..... or Bar B Stew.......
i remember Ron and I listening through heat vent upstairs when Henry and Selma would gossip about them.
I remember them teasing her about a neighbor/
I remember Curt and her wedding with lemon trees shortly after her mom's passing.
I remember her always being unique.
Mostly I remember her as a funny person that always cared.
When Curt was in service, she focused on her two girls.
When He came home, she supported him through thick and thin....
When it came to family... well, .... that was always number one, and always loyal./
She made us laugh.
She always was funny.
She left behind two amazing daughters, an awesome brother, sister, Nephews and Nieces, and a family that will miss her.....
I will always consider her family, that I have now lost, and miss....
Bless you and forever cherish your memories.
