Belle Grubb
February 8, 1918 - May 19, 2021

Place of Birth: Minnesota
Residence: Tioga, North Dakota
Age: 103

Belle Grubb, 103, of Tioga, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Tioga Medical Center Long Term Care in Tioga, ND.

Belle was the 8th child, born February 8, at 8:00, to Hubert and Ethel (Morse) Titus in East Lake, MN in 1918, the year of the Spanish flu pandemic. She was raised and educated through the 8th grade in rural Powers Lake, ND.
On October 23, 1936, at 8 p.m., she was united in marriage to Melvin (Happy) Grubb. They lived on a farm NW of Powers Lake where they raised three sons, James, Lacy, and Michael. Together they farmed, milked cows, raised chickens, and sold cream and eggs. She loved to be outdoors, doing all the work required of a farm hand. She was no stranger to hard work. She loved helping others. She liked to quilt, crochet and sing. She had 8 grandchildren.

Belle continued to live on the farm after Melvin (Happy) passed away in May of 1994. She continued to help Jim and Betty on the farm in any way that she could. In September of 2011, she moved to Battle View, ND to be closer to family. She entered the Tioga Medical Long Term Care Center in June of 2017, where she met many new friends.
Belle will be remembered as a loving mother, grandma, and great grandma whose smile could light up a room. She always had a hug for all those that entered. She loved her hugs.

She is survived by sons, James (Betty) Grubb, Lacy (Terry) Grubb; daughter-in-law, Kathy Grubb; grandchildren, Tony (Jackie) Grubb, Kayo (Shelbi) Grubb, Clint Grubb, Tyler (Leslie) Grubb, Arlene (Rick) Renegar, Amanda (Lyle) Shappell, Debra (Christopher) Bonebrake; 17 great-grandchildren.

Belle was preceded in death by her parents; half-brother, Gordon Waldron; half-sister, Vivian Dolvin; brothers, Percy, Melvin, Glen, Roy, George; sister, Grace; husband, Melvin (Happy); son, Michael; granddaughter, Monica.
