Kenneth Erickson, 94 of Stanley, North Dakota passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Mountrail County Bethel Home in Stanley, North Dakota.

Ken was born on March 31, 1928 in Sioux City, IA to (Alfred) Leonard and Ella Erickson. He graduated from Central High School in 1946, and then enlisted into the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge he attended Morningside College, graduating in January 1952. He was united in marriage to Verna Mae (Vam) Albeck on October 21, 1950.

He employment with a finance company found them moving from Sioux City, IA to Laramie, WY, to Council Bluffs, IA, to Des Moines, IA, then to Williston, ND in May of 1959. He joined First National Bank & Trust in Williston (now First State Bank & Trust) and retired in 1994.

Ken enjoyed doing body work on old cars and restoring old homes. Ken and Vam enjoyed many years at their lake home in Paradise Point. They moved into the Bethel Home in Williston, ND in July of 2018 where they resided until Vam’s passing in December 2021. Ken then moved to the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley, ND to be closer to family.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Connie (Don) Longmuir of Stanley, ND; their children, Molly and Bob Wheaton & their children, Raegan and Gavin of Brownstown, MI; Dr. Mark and Nikki Longmuir & their children, Kolton, Logan, Jessa, Isaak, & Henzlie of Stanley, ND; and son Douglas (Kimberly) Erickson of Cheshire, CT; their children Jeffery Erickson, and Jamie Marie and Spencer Wetmore & baby Wetmore due in October; sister, Lois Burke; and brother-in-law, Dean (Marcia) Albeck.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vam; his parents; in-laws, Oscar and Helen Albeck; brother, Dwayne (JoAnn) Erickson; brother in laws, Irv Burke, Richard (Lois) Albeck; and sister-in-law, Jean Albeck.

We're still sorry for your loss. Ken always had a smile and a hearty laugh. So many fun times shared with him and Vam at Paradise Point in years past. He was always so proud of his family. He's with Vam again and we will all miss him.
