Betty J. Mann
May 18, 1937 - July 22, 2022

Residence: Sidney, MT

On Thursday, July 21st, 2022, Betty Bykonen Mann, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at the Sidney Montana nursing home.

Betty was born on May 18, 1937 in Powers Lake, North Dakota to Francis and Florence Bykonen. On October 20, 1955, she married David Mann, and raised two children, son Shannon and daughter Candace Mann.

Betty had a love for gardening and always had a huge garden on the farm where the Mann family lived 12 miles outside of Plentywood Montana. She was very active in the local Catholic church, had a passion for snowmobiling and even participated in couple of demolition derbies. She was a master chef in the kitchen and always had an art project going.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband David, father Francis, mother Florence, sisters Carolyn Arthur, Flora Lee and brother Merle Bykonen. She is survived by her two children, Shannon and Candace Mann.

Betty was a very sweet lady..got to know her at Crestwood Inn..visited with her a lot at Nursing Home.. R.I.P. Sweet Lady..

We were more like Family, when we resided in Plentywood in the same Apt. Building ... shared many Laughs, and always was there for YOU & Georgie ... Remember when YOU tried to Drive your NEW CAR and You couldn't figure out WHY the CAR wouldn't Start ... You looked at Debbie and I and Debbie stated to you : * Betty try putting the KEY in and TURN the Key to ON * ... YOU, and us LAUGHED ... * You definitely had a Green Thumb at growing Beautiful Garden; We had a very Close Friendship and enjoyed sending you Special Gifts from Spokane, WA. where James and I Resided back in '2014." ...
