Reed Neset-Greiner
October 16, 1998 - April 16, 2024

Place of Birth: Minot, North Dakota
Residence: Stanley, North Dakota
Age: 25

Reed Neset-Greiner, 25, of Stanley, ND, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his home in Stanley, ND.

Reed was born on October 16, 1998, in Minot, ND, to Stacey Neset and Kyle Greiner. Reed was raised in Stanley, ND, and Tioga, ND with his mother and enjoyed his time in Minnesota with his father and his family. He attended school in Stanley and Tioga, graduating from Stanley High School in 2017. He attended Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN, graduating with a degree in construction electricity. While attending college he worked at Revolutions Power Sports and Marine. After graduation, he moved to Bismarck, ND where he worked at Magnum Electric before returning to Stanley. He attended the wind energy technician training program obtaining multiple certifications in the wind energy field. Ater completion of the program, he was employed by NextEra Energy. He then went to work for NESET as a reliability operator at Hess. He was a hard worker and enjoyed all of the jobs he had. He made many friends through his work and the schools he attended.

Reed lived his life like there was no tomorrow. He was fearless, always saying his crazy ideas would be “fine”. Reed loved every dog he met but none as much the two he rescued, Henry and Hope. He spent most of his time listening to audiobooks, playing PS5, and reading while hanging out at home with his dogs. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting along with riding dirt bike, snowmobile, and his beloved motorcycle. Some of his favorite things to do were spend time with his family in both Minnesota and North Dakota, and help his uncle Jerry on the ranch where he wanted to raise his own cattle. He loved spending time with his friends, which was where he came up with most of his crazy ideas. He made an impression everywhere he went and people always knew he was there, keeping everyone entertained and laughing. Reed loved to tease and joke, even when it wasn’t appropriate. He had a special bond with both of his grandmothers, Bev and Marcia. He mentioned often how much he loved them. Reed was a momma’s boy and he was not ashamed of it even when teased. He got a kick out of doing something crazy and then calling his mom and telling her about it or sending pictures or videos just to see what she would say. He had may projects he was either thinking about or had started on. Reed loved tearing things apart to see how they worked or to fix them, and sometimes even put them back together.

Reed is survived by his parents, Stacey Neset and Kyle (Katie) Greiner; stepbrother, Conner Powers; grandmothers, Beverly Neset of Stanley, ND and Marcia Greiner of Vining, MN; uncles, Jerry (Jennifer) Neset of Ross, ND, and Kory (Dorothy) Greiner of Black Duck, MN; and aunt, Kim (Dean) Diers of Isanti, MN; cousins, Aaron, Andrew, Lane (Skyeleanna), Logan, Lexi, Grace, Emma, Leila, and Paul.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Kelly Greiner; and his grandfathers, Douglas Neset and Dale Greiner both of whom he loved and admired.

I am so sorry for the loss of Reed. I feel blessed to have been able to know Reed from a young age and see the amazing young man he grew up to be. He always gave a smile and really good hugs.
