Jarrett Royce Lone Bear was born on February 11th, 1969, in Stanely, North Dakota to the late Lester Lone Bear, Sr. and the late Mary Windy-Boy Lone Bear. Jarrett was the youngest of seven children. In his younger years he grew up in Twin Buttes, North Dakota. The family then relocated to Mandaree, North Dakota. Jarrett attended Job Corps in his early twenties, he furthered his education and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2002 from the University of Mary. In 1995, he was left quadriplegic due to a diving accident. Jarrett lived in various places throughout his adulthood and permanently relocated to Minot, North Dakota up until the time of his death. Jarrett was a die-hard Vikings fan and never missed a game, he loved to joke around and laugh with his good sense of humor. Jarrett loved his coffee no matter the time of day, and his McDonald’s. Although Jarrett didn’t have children of his own, he loved his nieces, nephews, and his grandchildren were his heart.
Jarrett passed away on Sunday August 11, 2024 at Trinity Nursing Home in Minot, ND.
Jarrett is preceded in death by his dad Lester Lone Bear, Sr., mother Mary Windy Boy-Lone Bear, brothers Ronald Lone Bear, Sr., and Darcy Lone Bear.
Jarrett is survived by sisters Vema Lone Bear (Leroy) and Loretta Lone Bear both of Mandaree, North Dakota, and brothers Lester “Chiefy” Lone Bear, Jr., and Marcus Lone Bear, Sr., both of New Town. Jarrett will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
