Liudmila Anatolievna Kazantseva
March 9, 1940 - October 16, 2024

Place of Birth: Russia
Residence: Tioga, North Dakota
Age: 84

Liudmila Anatolievna Kazantseva (Kostareva) was born on March 9, 1940 in Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg), in the Ural mountains region, Russia. Her Parents were Anatoly Kostarev and Pavla Kostareva. Liuda was the oldest with two younger sisters Nina and Irina.

Liuda was an brilliant student at school and completed 5 years of the University with degrees in agriculture and food safety.

She met and married Alexander Kazantsev when she was an intern after she finished the university. They were married April 30,1965, and made their home in Sverdlovsk. Yulia, their first daughter was born in 1966. Vera, their second daughter, was born in 1973. Alexander worked at the Uralmash heavy equipment manufacturing plant for 40 years, and Liudmila worked in a lab testing produce.

Liuda enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, baking, and gardening. She would go to their Datcha (summer garden house) working in the garden, picking berries and mushrooms in the forest, and canning fruits and vegetables. Liuda loved to read, and enjoyed listening and reading about politics.

Liudmila and Alexander came to America in 2012 to be closer to their daughters Vera in the USA and Yulia in Canada. She enjoyed living in America and was very proud to obtain her American citizenship on March 13, 2019.

Liuda loved spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them some Russian language. She used to write humorous short poems for and about her family and friends and had a real talent for that. She liked sewing, and decorating for family celebrations with beads and balloons. She remembered everyone’s birthday and made sure to call them to give them birthday greetings. She kept in touch with many relatives and friends in Russia via SKYPE. Liudmila had a number of health battles, but she conquered most of them. She was a very strong-willed and courageous lady, a wonderful mother, a loving wife and sister.

We will have HER always in our hearts.

Liudmila is survived by her husband Alexander, her daughters Yulia (Norman) Dashevsky and Vera (Daniel) Wolla; her sisters Nina and Irina, her grandchildren Sophia and Nick Wolla.

God bless her soul.

"And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing " 1 Cor 15:26

And he will wipe every tear from their eyes,
And death will be no more ,
neither will mourning nor outcry
nor pain be no more.
The former things has passed away.
