Lola “Lollie” Lea Graber passed away peacefully in her loving husband’s arms on July 8, 2025, at Sidney Health Center after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Lollie never lost hope. She met every challenge with a smile, a positive attitude, and a spirit that uplifted all who met her.
Lollie was born on August 6, 1951, in Billings, Montana, to Fredrick and Pearl Virginia (Fisher) Schneider. She was raised in Worden, Montana, and attended Huntley Project Schools. Lollie married young and was blessed with two children. Later, she found her life partner in Rollie Graber. Together, they blended their families and began a life full of love and adventure, ultimately settling in Sidney, Montana after living in Nebraska and Kansas. Their marriage of 45 years was built on mutual devotion, laughter, and unwavering support.
A lifelong homemaker, Lollie was known for her nurturing nature and exceptional talents. She had a magical green thumb and was a phenomenal cook, gifts she lovingly passed down to her daughter and granddaughter. Her home was always filled with warmth, comfort, and the delicious smells of her kitchen.
Lollie was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Adolph Vrana; her in-laws, Toby and Genevieve Graber; her brother, Dave Schneider; sisters, Donna Crandall-Miller and Sheryl Mills; brothers-in-law, Sherman Crandall, Duane Miller, Harry Mills Jr., Brad Knapp, and Robert Graber; and son-in-law Aaron Franz.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rollie; children Duane (Stacey) Lynnes of Ottawa, Kansas; Deann Franz of Sidney, Montana; Tammy (David) Graber of West Fargo, North Dakota; and Michael (Linda) Graber of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren Airika (Tom) Blackburn of Mandan, North Dakota; Kody (Jessica) Boyer of Bismarck, North Dakota; Carter (Sophie) Scarritt, Anna Scarritt, and McKenzie (Casey) Graber, all of Pensacola, Florida; Samuel Lynnes and Jacob Lynnes, both of Ottawa, Kansas; her sister, Dora Knapp of Billings, Montana; sisters- and brothers-in-law Rita Graber of Rugby, North Dakota; Rick and Cathy Graber of Citrus Heights, California; Randy and Syann Graber of Rugby, North Dakota; and Sandra Schneider of Billings, Montana. She is also lovingly remembered by her special friends Jess, Aidan, and Carter Wiese of Sidney, Montana, whom she considered family.
Lollie was a truly selfless soul whose love and compassion radiated in every part of her life. Her quiet strength, deep empathy, and gentle spirit left a mark on everyone she met. She had the rare ability to make people feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.
To know Lollie was to know laughter; her sense of humor was natural and bright, a source of joy to those around her. She had a way of lifting others even in the most ordinary moments, a gift that will be deeply missed.
Lollie devoted her life to caring for others. She was the person you could always count on; ready to help, to listen, or simply to be there. Her unwavering support, especially for her family, was a pillar of strength through every chapter of life. Her marriage to Rollie was a testament to enduring love, built on shared dreams and deep devotion. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride, and the values she instilled in them; compassion, resilience, and love are carried forward in their lives today.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we celebrate the beautiful life Lollie lived; a life marked by kindness, grace, and immeasurable love. Her presence was a true gift. Her absence will be deeply felt. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
