Keith Hernandez
May 22, 1967 - July 26, 2025

Place of Birth: Williston, North Dakota
Residence: Glendale, Arizona
Age: 58

Keith Allen Hernandez was born May 22, 1967 in Williston, ND to Claudia Hernandez Fegert. He spent his first 10 years growing up in Williston. At the age of 10, they moved to Watford City with his father Albert Fegert. Keith graduated from Watford City High School in 1985. He loved sports, and was active in football, wrestling, and basketball.

Keith and his friends were always up to something. His first job was washing pans at Carl’s Bakery. That gave him and his buddies a reason to sit in the bakery every night and pull their pranks. After graduation, he moved to be closer to some of his friends in Arizona. This is where he met the love of his life Irma Hinojos. They were married on August 3, 1990. Together they had 3 sons, Chandler, Jacob, and Alex.

Keith was a dedicated employee to Todek Acoustics. He worked for them in Glendale, AZ for 40 years. Keith was a devoted husband, father, son, Tata, brother, uncle, and nephew. His boys and his grandchildren were his greatest joy. He loved spending time with family and friends, spending time at the lake camping and being out on the boat. Not only was he a dedicated Arizona Cardinals fan, he was a season ticket holder and avid tailgater. Making sure to attend all their home games. Keith took his love of football and turned it into a passion for coaching high school football. Keith coached The Bulldogs of Barry Goldwater High School in Glendale, AZ.

Keith really was the life of the party, and will be missed by everyone that knew him and loved him.

Keith will be dearly missed by his loving wife Irma; his sons, Chandler (Valerie) of IL, Jacob (Sabrina) of ND, and Alex of AZ; grandchildren, Jayla, Alexa, Jayson, & Ruby Hernandez, all of IL, Leilani & Elias Hernandez of North Dakota; mother Claudia Fegert of ND; brothers, Clifford (Cathy) of NC, Jeremy (Elizabeth) of PA; sisters, Annette Satterly of AZ, and Kim (Jeff) of PA, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Keith will be greeted at the gates of Heaven by his father, Albert Fegert, and his sister Jeanetta Fegert.
Thank You

Claudia, Irma and all of Keith's family. I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Keith well but I heard many stories from Wayne through the years. Both of them gone way too soon. Hold all your memories close as you walk through the path through your grief in the coming days.

Well Brother, this as real as its going to get. Im still sitting here saying are you kidding me. You were a giant in our family. You gave us summers at the lake and camping in Alpine and the White mountains AZ. Fall Football games at Cardinals stadium on the Great lawn tailgating, laughing having a cold one. Life will be different without you, the kiddos are gonna miss you especially your Nephew& Niece Turtle (Patrick) & Analise Family in general , countless nieces and nephews. Thank Keith for all that you have done for all of us. if you taught me anything is live life to the fullest as you did. As I said before thank you for being the best brother in law I could've ever ask for. My heart goes out to my sister Irma , and nephew's Chandler, Jake, and Alex. I love you all very much. Irma and boys, Claudia, Kim, Clifford, Jeremy and all of your families:
We are so sorry for your loss of Keith. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He was the life of the party, even that last Wed night at the Eagles and uptown. No matter where he went, he could make friends. Hold onto your wonderful memories traveling together over the years. So, many special times for the families on the lake and river. Our hearts break for you all. Much love and sympathy to all.

I was so sad and shocked to learn of Keith's death. I had such a fun visit with him two weeks ago at Homefest. It had been many years since I had seen him, but I'll always remember him as a very fun and somewhat mischievous student! He will be so missed by his family and friends.
