Margaret Ann Dahl
February 12, 1944 - August 20, 2025

Place of Birth: Cando, North Dakota
Residence: Glendive, Montana
Age: 81

Margaret Ann Dahl, 81 peacefully passed away on Wednesday August 20, 2025, at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, MT surrounded by her family.

Margaret was born on February 12, 1944, in Cando, ND to parents Lenora (Trenda) and William “Bill” Gill. Her younger years were spent in Cando until the family relocated to Tioga, ND. On June 18, 1961, she was united in Marriage to Duane Dahl. They welcomed their daughter Alice in 1962 and later their son Richard in 1965.

Over the years Margaret held several positions in the service industry, while raising her family and maintaining an immaculate home, yard and garden. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed working on jigsaw and word search puzzles.

Margaret’s adventurous spirit led her on many travels over the years. Highlights being Branson, a Fall foliage tour and several bus trips to Deadwood, SD. She was able to check off a major bucket list wish when her granddaughter Tessa and family, Brennan, Jarrett and Warren, took her to Kauai, HI.

She actively supported her children and later on her grandchildren through their numerous activities. Keeping up with her family and friends through telephone calls and traveling to visit was a priority in her life. She shared a very special bond with her sisters-in-law, JoAnn Faulkner, Debbie Dahl and Julie Fliginger. Telephone visits with her brothers and sister-in laws always brightened her day.

Surviving Margaret are her children, Alice (Jim) Bachmeier, Glendive, MT and Richard (Pam) Dahl, Sidney, MT; four grandchildren, Eli Bachmeier, Colter Bachmeier, Tessa (Brennan) Gorder, and Torey Dahl; three great-grandsons, Jarrett Gorder, Warren Gorder and Lennox Gorder. Margaret is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom were the recipients of her quick wit and feisty nature.

Preceding Margaret in death were her husband Duane, parents William “Bill” and Lenora Gill.

Auntie Mag, you will be profoundly missed! Your presence brought so much warmth, love, and joy to every room you entered.
I will always hold dear to my heart the memories we shared; our sleepovers, decorating your Christmas tree, and watching G.I. Blues together time and again.
Though your absence leaves a deep sorrow in our hearts, your spirit will continue to live on in the love you gave and the moments we cherished.
I love you so very much!
