Place of Birth: Grafton, North Dakota
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 86

Janice Mae (Ault) Peplow was born October 28, 1938, in Grafton, ND to Raymond and Cecilia Ault of Hensel, ND. She attended Fisher Country School through 8th grade and graduated high school in Cavalier, ND.

Throughout her life, Janice was a steadfast musician—accompanying choirs in high school and church, and singing in choirs and small groups. She had a resonant alto voice, blessing us with her harmonies of hymns. As a sophomore in high school, she became organist for her church, and continued to play organ until she could no longer climb the stairs.

Janice married Dennis Peplow on June 6, 1957, in Cavalier, ND. They have three children—Mark, Todd & Paula.

Janice was a loyal and reliable secretary for the County Extension Agents, Farmers Union Insurance, and the County Mental Health Center, known for typing in excess of 100wpm.

A kind and sweet soul, Janice was a friend of anyone she met. She was an avid reader of romance novels and enjoyed watching old westerns.

Janice passed away on September 1, 2025, at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care in Sidney, Montana with her children by her side.

Janice is survived by her husband, Dennis; two sons Mark (Leslie) Peplow of Sidney and Todd (Lynette) Peplow of Anchorage AK; one daughter Paula (Jerry) Chacon of San Jose CA; five grandchildren, Amy, Theron, Tara, Sabrina, Malena and Ashten; and six great-grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Howard and Russell Ault.

Janice was instrumental in me getting hired at EMCMHC in Sidney, and not only did she teach me by example on how to be a good and efficient secretary, she became a close friend and confidant. We shared laughs and tears, and sorrows and triumphs through the years of working together at the Mental Health Center. Heaven gained a new addition to the choir, she'll be the one with the huge grin on her face, and welcoming new ones into the fold. I have no doubt I will see her again some day. Peplow family, my deepest condolences to you all as you grieve her passing. She was a gem!!

To you, Janice's family, As you know your Mom and I shared the same age (she was one day older than me) the same active faith in God's loving grace, the same organ bench at Trinity Lutheran and the same love of church choir music. She was the best choir accompanist I ever knew and a very dear friend and believer in the Savior's love. She was looking forward to being with the Savior and I am confident that her voice joining in the Halelujahs is strong and joyful. My dear Friend is Home! I thank God with you for her life here on Earth and also for her faith in God which reassures us all that she has attained her goal, Home with Jesus. With love, Sharon
