It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Kent Edwin Lukesh
May 12, 1968 - February 5, 2026

Place of Birth: Boise, Idaho
Residence: Watford City, North Dakota
Age: 57

Kent Edwin Lukesh, 57, unexpectedly passed away on February 5, 2026, in Killdeer, North Dakota, as a result of a tragic car accident. His beloved dog, Reggie, a constant and loyal companion, also passed away alongside him.

Kent was born on May 12, 1968, in Boise, Idaho, to Iris Joan (Legg) and Edwin Lukesh. He grew up with a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the outdoors — values that stayed with him throughout his life.

On August 19, 1995, he married the love of his life, Karin (Ringling) Lukesh. Together, they shared 30 years of marriage filled with love and laughter. Kent was a proud and devoted father to his two children, Kassidy (26) and Kyler (24). Being a dad was one of his greatest joys. He showed his love through steady support, guidance, humor, and always being there when it mattered most.

Kent was a hardworking and determined man. He owned and operated his own flooring company before later working in the North Dakota oil fields, driving a water truck. He took pride in providing for his family and was respected for his strong work ethic and dependability.

The outdoors was where Kent felt most at home. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, razor riding, mountain biking, and spending time in nature. Whether in the mountains, out on the land, or riding trails, he found joy in adventure. Reggie was often by his side, a loyal companion who shared in many of those moments and who held a special place in his heart.

Kent will be remembered for his sense of humor, his ability to make people laugh, and the warmth he brought into every room. Everyone he came in contact with was a friend. Above all, he will be remembered as an amazing father and a man who loved deeply and wholeheartedly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Iris Joan and Edwin Lukesh.

He is survived by Karin, his children, Kassidy and Kyler, his siblings, Stephanie Hill and Kurt Lukesh, along with extended family and many friends whose lives he touched.

Kent’s legacy of laughter, love, hard work, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew him.

I knew Kent’s mother as a dear friend.
She had great love for her three
children and grandchildren.
She was very proud of Kent and
prayed daily for him.
My condolences to Stephanie, and Kurt.
Also to Kent’s son, daughter, wife,
and to all family and friends
who will miss him.
God’s comfort and peace will
sustain you.
Sincerely, Deanna France

I worked with Kent for the last year and a half hauling water. I saw Kent and Reggie every single day. I always enjoyed Kent's company and he was always the first one to help me when something went wrong. I have talked with him about his family and he always said how he was proud of his children and how much he loved them. Kent was a good friend and it saddens me of the loss. Their wasn't hardly ever a day go by that I didnt interact with him. "Thank you Kent for always being patient with me considering somehow I always managed to mess up your stuff". Reggie was inseparable from Kent and I still look around for him. Its not the same not seeing Kent and Reggie on a daily basis. Kent was the person who trained me how to do his job here in the oilfield. I wanted to come to the Celebration so much, but I am proudly out here honoring Kent today and doing the work he did. The picture I have added is of Reggies pawprint the day of the passing. I will miss him and forever in my heart as a good friend.
