Steven Feiring
October 30, 1952 - March 23, 2026

Place of Birth: Stanley, North Dakota
Residence: White Earth, North Dakota
Age: 73

Steven Feiring, 73, of White Earth, North Dakota, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

Steve was born on October 30, 1952, in Stanley, North Dakota, to Arnold and Ruth (Ruden) Feiring. He graduated from Tioga High School in 1970 and continued his education at Williston State College. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for over six years. On March 16, 1974 he was united in marriage to Dorothy (Berg) Feiring at Faith Lutheran Church of rural Williston. Steve was baptized, confirmed, and a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church of White Earth.

He grew up on the family farm and ranch working alongside his brothers, and continued ranching with his dad. Steve spent much of his life working hard and providing for his family. He served as manager of the White Earth Grain Elevator, worked road construction, general contracting, and briefly in the oil field. In his retirement he owned and operated his own RV park business.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing, or camping. Woodworking was one of his greatest passions. He had a natural talent for it and found joy in sharing that gift, both through the pieces he created and the time he spent mentoring and helping others with their projects. Steve had a rare gift for fixing anything that needed attention. What started as a family joke, “Fix-it-Feiring” quickly become a name that truly fit; eventually becoming both his title and the name of his business. He could walk into any space and immediately see what others might miss, knowing exactly how to make it right. With a garage full of tools, he became the person friends, family, and neighbors turned to whether they needed help with a project or simply the right tool to get the job done.

More than anything, Steve cherished time with his family. He never missed an opportunity to watch his kids and grandchildren at their sporting events, concerts, and activities. It didn’t stop there; he also valued the time spent with all his nieces and nephews. He loved big and was well loved.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Dorothy (Berg); his children, Stacey (Tim), Travis (Abigail), and Stephanie (Matthew); and his grandchildren, Annlea (20), Raylea (17), Zoey (11), Magnus (9), and Emma (10 months); his sisters, Arnola (Dale) Savelkoul, Carol (Gene) Hanson; brother, Ronnye; his sisters-in-law and brother’s in-law, Maren Feiring, Glenda Feiring, JoAnne (Wally) Radtke, Marvin Larson, Betty (Jerry) Kelly, Eileen Johnson, Marvin Berg, Linda Bustad, and Nina (Ron) Jore; his many cherished nieces and nephews; and extended family, Andy, Jamie, and Greer Fuller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Ruth; his brothers, Robert (Bernice), Larry, and Roy; mother and father-in-law, Lloyd and Hazel Berg. his brothers-in-law, Duane (Leta) Berg, Dorlin Bustad, and Robert Johnson; and his sister-in-law, Lorraine Larson.
