Nicholas E. Andre, 78, formerly of Williston, passed away March 1, 2026 in Springfield, VA with family at his side.

He was born February 29, 1948, to Bernard and Marjorie Andre in Williston, ND, was raised on the family farm and educated in the Grenora/Williston area. He graduated with the Williston class of 1966.

He was married to Gail Skogen and they had two sons. They later divorced. Nick later met and married Joyce Miller.

He joined the army in 1968, served tours in Vietnam and South Korea, later making the military his first career. He then joined the Civil Service in Washington, DC, as a second career.

Nicholas is survived by his wife, Joyce, sons, Larry (Brenda) Andre, and Michael Andre; sisters, Karen (Jerry) Louton, Claire (Shorty) Folvag and Cleo Adkins; brothers, Mark Andre, Kurt (Karen)Andre and Kent (Cathy) Andre; a brother-in-law, Robert Miller, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and infant brother, Wayne Andre, his in-laws, a brother-in-law, Bob Adkins and all of his aunts and uncles.
