Laures Helseth, 78, passed away in the early morning hours of April 3, 2026, with her loving husband Bob by her side.

Laures Eloise Lien was born July 9, 1947 to parents Herbert and Marie Lien of Powers Lake. Laures was the 3rd born in a set of triplets, along with her brother Wendell and sister Laurel. She lived in rural Powers Lake until moving to White Earth when she was a young child. During high school, she was bussed to Tioga, where she graduated in 1965. Laures attended Minot State College. After college, she was employed by Comart Peterson, an attorney in Tioga. She also worked for MAPS in Ray, then Fulkersons and Tioga Tribune in Tioga.

Laures married Bob Helseth on October 13, 1968 in Columbus. They lived most of their married life in Tioga except for a few years in Havre, MT. Laures and Bob enjoyed a lot of summers living at the campground at Van Hook where they enjoyed fishing for walleye as they were great fishermen.

Laures enjoyed the companionship of her 3 cats Midnight, Sissy, and Ebony who brought her much enjoyment.

Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband Bob Helseth of Tioga; siblings Elaine Martinson, Tioga; Floyd (Carmen) Lien, Minot; Leatha (Jim) Campbell, Minot; Laurel Wilmoth, Hardin, MT; Donald Lien, Powers Lake; brothers-in-law Roger (Roberta) Helseth, Powers Lake; Barry (Candi) Helseth, Minot; and sisters-in-law Patti (Keith) Denzler, Sheridan, WY, Lora Lee Peterson, McGregor; and Susan Lien, Colorado Springs, CO. Laures is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Preceding Laures in death were her parents Herbert and Marie Lien, brother Wendell Lien, brothers-in-law Kurt Helseth and Del Martinson, and father and mother in-law Wallen and Dorothy Helseth.
