Teresa (Terri) Ann Miller was born on January 31, 1947, to Teresa (Ott) and Leo Buzalsky. Terri was the oldest of six children and grew up on a dairy farm outside of Amidon, ND, in the shadow of White Butte, the highest point in North Dakota. She attended kindergarten to 8th grade in a small country school down the road from the farm. She then attended 9th to 11th grades at Saint Mary's in New England, ND. Her senior year was attended in Bowman, ND. After graduation, she attended Dickinson College (now Dickinson State University), where she acquired her teaching degree. In 1966, she started teaching 4th grade in Savage, MT. Throughout her years of teaching, she taught various positions at Savage Public School, her favorite being her art classes. She also taught a few summers for the migrant program in Glendive, MT. Terri continued to teach in Savage until her retirement.
In December 1967, Terri met Garry (Bink) Miller. This encounter led to the two being married on August 3rd, 1968. From this union she was blessed with 3 children; Lance, Shannon, and Darcy. In the fall of 1994, she became a mother for the fourth time to Kim Hardaker, an exchange student from Perth, Western Australia. She was later blessed with four grandchildren; Morgan, Kanyon, Paxton, and Kiana. In December of 2025, she was even further blessed with her great grandson, Stetson Ray Miller, born to Paxton and Karissa Miller. She was always active in her children and grandchildren's lives, following them in their many activities including sports, music, and more.
Terri had overcome breast cancer twice in her life. First in 2000, and then again in 2010. She was an active member of the Savage Senior Center, where she cooked for many years. She loved to visit with her many friends and was an avid card player. In her time off, she was a frequent participant in various bus tours, visiting different destinations around the United States and always bringing back new little trinkets and treasures to share. She was also someone who greatly enjoyed reading, going through five or more books in a week. She enjoyed many crafty and artistic projects in her spare time and always took that artistic touch to her flower beds and garden. The pantry was never empty after her harvests and canning.
Terri had some life changing events in the beginning of 2026, and it's then that she decided to live out the remainder of her life in comfort. She passed away at home with her husband and children by her side.
Teresa Ann is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Teresa Buzalsky; her in-laws Erven and Betty Miller; brother Frank Buzalsky; brothers-in-law Daryle Dennis and Ken Heck; and nephew Ryan Dennis.
