Brady James Thompson, of Tioga, North Dakota, passed away as the result of a car accident on July 21, 2026.

Brady was born on March 15, 1995 to Angela (Thompson) Holte and Doug DeMoe in Tioga, ND. He grew up in Tioga, where he participated in wrestling and basketball throughout his school years. Basketball remained one of his greatest interests. Whether he was playing with friends or cheering on his younger brother, Connor, Brady genuinely enjoyed the game. He was also a devoted Kobe Bryant fan.

Brady graduated from Tioga High School in 2013. Following graduation, he was selected as one of four students from North Dakota to participate in a basketball jamboree in Hawaii, where his team earned a first-place finish.

Over the years, Brady worked in a variety of jobs, with his most recent employment as a pipefitter.

Brady is survived by his brother, Connor Holte; stepbrother, Cameron Holte Jr. (Breeanna); sister, Jennifer DeMoe; grandmother, Diana Thompson; aunts, Carrie Thompson, Betty Floyd, and Karla (Matt) Hornstein; uncles, Benjamin (Lisa) Thompson and Dean (Deb) DeMoe; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Doug DeMoe; mother, Angela Holte; stepfather, Cameron Holte; uncles, John Thompson, Brian DeMoe, and Jamie DeMoe; aunt, Lori DeMoe McIntyre; grandparents, Elwood Thompson and Galen and Gail DeMoe; and great-grandmother Wanda Nissen.
